An inspired poem:
The experienced faithfulness of God
Qualifies us for His will
It propels us to the battle line
So we can confront the voice of intimidation
That seeks to deceive and undermine
So that we can hurl the stone
And take the giant down*
It takes a seemingly unqualified youth
To take out the giant and expose unbelief
For the world’s qualifications mean little in God’s Kingdom
Courage is the qualification chiefly to be desired
Lion-hearted faith in Him that He will do what is required
(Faith that doesn’t let go until the promise is acquired)
* Bringing courage to the army huddled in the valley of decision, who are deciding whether to believe God or the accuser.
