I saw someone applying the tip of a sword horizontally – almost at shoulder height – to a hard surface, and leaning hard against it:
A two-edged sword to pierce and break through. Lean forward, apply pressure, focus your weight (wait), see more. For more I can do when you lean in and apply truth. When you choose life, when you choose Me.
Pierce the dark. Make it bleed†. Apply the sword, for worthy is He. Worthy alone is He to open the scroll, to command the entire Heavenly Hosts. This worthy One is your Commander in Chief and He is constantly desiring to speak. But will He be heard above the clamour and the noise?
Keep piercing the dark with the pointed truth of My Word. Create light pockets where hope can emerge, and watch as the pitch-black becomes light-studded, as the flood of darkness is pushed back by hope-bringing Sword-wielders.
† It’s a reference to life-saving surgery. If the Body of Christ did not undergo this, it would die.
“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.”
