A riddle from the Lord:
Spiked with gold*
Tipped with blood**
The waters are rising
Here comes the flood

** Moses put blood on the tips of the right ears of the priests during their ceremony of consecration and ordination (Leviticus 8:24).
“But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You shall eat the wealth of the nations, and the glory [once that of your captors] shall be yours.
